Erin Birt Attends COD’s 47th Commencement

At The Birt Group, we frequently discuss the importance of community service and personal development.  This post highlights how Erin Birt, Owner and Counselor at The Birt Group, incorporates community service into her life.

On May 16, 2014, Erin Birt participated in the College of DuPage’s 47th Commencement in her role as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the College of DuPage. For over 3 years, Erin Birt has volunteered her time and served on the Board of Trustees for the College of DuPage.  In order to serve, Erin was successful in a tri-county election, winning one of two seats for a six year term.  During her first two years as a trustee, she served as the Vice-Chairman of the Board, learning valuable skills and information from the former Chairman.  Currently, Erin is serving her fourth year as trustee and second year as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the College of DuPage.

Erin is proud that the College has a positive effect on the students and the community, and she enjoys collaborating with the great faculty, staff, and administrators that work directly with the the board.  Her favorite time of year is Commencement, and all of the completion ceremonies, which allow her to celebrate and witness the joy, pride, and success of so many students and families.Gov.
